What Subjects Do You Cover?
Accelerate Tutoring can offer tutoring for:
- Key Stage 1 Maths and English
- Key Stage 2 Maths and English
- Key Stage 3 Maths
- The 11+ entrance exam for independent schools like Kings, Queens and Abbeygate
How Much Does it Cost and What About Payment?
We charge £60.00 per hour of tutoring.
Payment is on the day (or paid as a block) by cash or BACS.
Do You Operate a Cancellation Policy?
Yes – we operate a 48 hour policy. If a lesson is cancelled with less than 48 hours to go, we would expect full payment. However, with enough notice we usually attempt to offer another lesson or ask another parent to change their lesson. We fully appreciate birthday parties, school events etc.
Where Do The Lessons Take Place?
The lessons take place in the tutor’s home.
Will I Get Feedback From The Lesson?
Absolutely – and we consider it to be an essential part of the lesson. The tutor will record all the pupils teaching, progress and an ongoing assessment. We consider the parents involvement to be crucial and aim to be a team, working together to achieve our goal of full potential realised for every child.
What Area Do You Operate In?
We currently take pupils from Chester, Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral.
How Can I End My Tutoring Sessions?
From the outset, the tutor will aim to find out how many sessions will be needed and this will continually be talked through. We aim to provide every opportunity for all aspects of the tuition to be discussed and value great communication. Four weeks notice is helpful.
