The caring, motivational tutoring experience that provides for children preparing for 11+, independent entrance exams and success in key stages 1 to 3. We operate in Chester, Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral.

About Us

Independent 7+/11+ Entrance Exam Preperation

Be guided through the requirements of each if the independent schools – Kings, Queens, Abbeygate and The Grange, with key teaching in English, Maths, Verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

11+ Test

Key teaching in high level English and Mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning with outstanding guidance and support.

Support and Challenge

We offer support for pupils in key stages 1 and 2 in both Mathematics and English and also for those who wish to come for help with their SATS to improve their confidence and performance.
100% success for each of these schools for 13 years

11+ Exam

Preparation for the 11+ in Maths and English.

£60.00 per hour.

7+ Exam

Preparation for the 7+ in Maths and English.

£60.00 per hour.

Keystage 1 English and Maths

£60.00 per hour.

Keystage 2 English and Maths

£60.00 per hour.

Independent Schools

100% success rate for pupils gaining acceptance to Kings, Queens, Abbeygate and Kingsmead.

Keystage 3 Maths

£60.00 per hour.

Lessons

Lessons are offered weekly or forthnightly and can last for an hour, an hour and a half, or two hours.

Refresher Sessions

Extra sessions like a daily hour or two in the school holidays can also be provided.

Experience

Accelerate Tutoring is run by Sally Pemberton. She is a trained teacher with vast experience of the public and private sector. She has over 35 years teaching experience. This experience has been used to prepare numerous pupils for SATS and entrance exams for independent schools (with a 100% success rate!).

Achievements

We aim to give all pupils the ability to grow in confidence within their tutored subject and enjoy school more. We have achieved:

  • An excellent 11+ record
  • 100% success for 13 years in 7+ and 11+ in the independent entrance exams (Kings, Queens, Abbeygate Kingsmead and the Hammond School)
  • Five academic scholarships and two Queens’ scholars awarded (highest perfrming pupils)
  • Getting a child to read her first book at the age of 9!
  • Children not wanting to leave (we currently have a brother and sister in their 5th year with us)
  • Year 6 pupils who have accomplished above age expected assessments in their SATS
  • Year 6 winner of Grrrl Power writing competition
  • Year 6 pupil shortlisted for 500 word competition
